La Gazzetta dello Sport is an Italian sports newspaper, based in Milan, it is the sixth Italian newspaper by circulation, as well as the first sports newspaper in the country and the longest-running of its kind in Europe.

He was born in Milan on April 3, 1896 to two Piedmontese who moved to Milan, Eugenio Camillo Costamagna and Eliso Rivera, who founded their two newspapers (La tripletta and Ilciclista) in one.

It became a daily newspaper from 1919.

From March 9, 2008 the slogan "All the pink of life" was adopted.
