


Alessio Cragno
Alessio Cragno is an Italian goalkeeper born in 1994.
He took his first steps in Polisportiva Sieci, in the province of Florence. At the age of 13 he moved to San Michele Cattolica Virtus, a team that in the past also launched Paolo Rossi and Andrea Barzagli.
Discovered by some observers of Brescia, he moved to the Lombard club for the 2009-10 season. He then made his Serie B debut with Brescia on 25 September 2012, at the age of 18.
In the following season he became the starting goalkeeper and played 30 league games.
On 12 July 2014, Cagliari was purchased by Benevento. From here he was loaned to Benevento.
On 15 July 2016 the goalkeeper from Fiesole was loaned to Benevento, with whom he made a total of 39 appearances with 32 goals conceded, and contributed to the victory of the playoffs through which Benevento was promoted to Serie A.
In the 2017-2018 season he returned to Cagliari, becoming the starting goalkeeper of the Rossoblù team. The following year he established himself as one of the best goalkeepers of the championship, his performances earned him the Apport Award as Best goalkeeper of the Serie A, being voted by the Italian Association of Goalkeepers; he was also placed by the WhoScored site in the top-11 European of the season, being the best extreme defender on the continent by average vote.
On June 27, 2022, he made his move to Monza, valid from the following July.
In his career Cragno has dressed the jerseys of all the Italian youth national teams starting from the Under-17.
