Catania SSD

Club Calcio Catania was founded on 24 September 1946 following the merger of the Unione Sportiva Catanese Elefante and Virtus Catania.

Catania is in 23rd place in the perpetual ranking of Serie A, by sporting tradition it is the fifth most important team in the South, as well as, with around 600,000 fans, the 12th most followed team in Italy.

The new club, which restarted from the Serie D group I championship, with admission to the same on 4 August 2022, becomes the bearer of the entire Catania football tradition.
