Prada

Prada S.p.A. is an Italian luxury holding company founded in 1913 in Milan by Mario Prada and his brother Martino Prada under the name Fratelli Prada. It specializes in leather bags, travel accessories, shoes, ready-to-wear, perfumes and other accessories.

A fashion house was founded in 1913 by brothers Mario Prada and Martino, who opened a leather store, bags, travel accessories and luxury in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan Soon, thanks to the high quality of products, the boutique became a point of reference for the purchases of the upper middle class and aristocracy European, becoming in 1919 official supplier of the Royal House of Savoy.

Today Prada is a leading company in its sector, and thanks to a capillary chain of single-brand boutiques or through large-scale distribution, distributes its products throughout the world. Among the main architects who designed the brand’s boutiques are Rem Koolhaas and Herzog & de Meuron. In particular, Rem Koolhaas designed the Prada stores in New York and Los Angeles.
