FC Internazionale

Football Club Internazionale Milano, better known as Internazionale or simply as Inter, is an Italian football club based in Milan.

Founded on 9 March 1908 by a group of dissident members of Milan, the club has always played in the top flight of the national championship since its first official match, in 1909, and is the only one to have participated in all editions of Serie A, established in the 1929-30 season.

Since its foundation, Inter has worn a Nerazzurri uniform with vertical stripes, apart from a brief period between 1928 and 1929 when he adopted a white red and red jersey.

They also have won 37 national titles - 20 league titles, 9 Italian Cups and 8 Italian Super Cups - becoming the second most successful club behind Juventus. At the international level it has 3 Champions League Cups/Champions League, 3 UEFA Cups, 2 Intercontinental Cups and a World Cup for FIFA clubs, for a total of 9 official trophies that place Inter behind Milan (18) and Juventus (11) in the ranking of Italian clubs for number of victories in official international competitions.

In 1965, Inter became the first European team to win the championship, the European Cup and the Intercontinental Cup in the same year, thus simultaneously holding the titles of national, continental and world champion. The goal was repeated in 2010, when it also became the first and only Italian team to have won the three main competitions played during the season: the Champions League, the league and the Italian Cup; with successive triumphs in the Italian Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup has also become the first and, so far, only Italian team to win five trophies in a calendar year.
