Cagliari calcio

Cagliari Calcio is an Italian football club based in Cagliari. He plays in Serie A, the highest division of the Italian championship.

Founded in 1920, it is the only team in Sardinia to have played in the first two divisions of Italian football. The social colors are red and blue, hence the name of Rossoblù that flanks the more local Casteddu.

He won - the first team of the Mezzogiorno - the Italian Serie A championship in the 1969-1970 season, after reaching the second position in the 1968-1969 edition. It also has an Italian Serie B championship (2015-2016) and an Italian Serie C championship (1951-1952); the Sardinian championship is thus, along with Genoa, Bologna, Naples and Verona, among the only Italian teams to have won the national championships of first, second and third series. He reached a second place in the Coppa Italia (1968-1969) and won a Coppa Italia Serie C in the 1988-1989 season. In the European Cup he reached the last eight of the European Cup in 1970-71 and was a semi-finalist of the UEFA Cup in 1993-94.
