Empoli FC

Empoli Football Club is an Italian football club based in Empoli that plays in Serie A, the highest division of the Italian championship.

Founded in 1920, the team’s nickname is Azzurri, due to the color of the club’s first uniform. The team plays its home matches at the Castellani Computer Gross Arena, which seats 16,800.

Empoli have participated in 87 national championships, of which 50 in third level championships, 22 in Serie B and 15 in Serie A. In Europe, the best result was the participation in the UEFA Cup 2007-2008.
