The bronze medal of the first World Championship in 1930, awarded to Joao Coelho Neto, captain of the Brazilian national team.
The 1930 FIFA World Cup Uruguay was the first edition of the top competition for the senior men's football teams of the sports federations affiliated with FIFA.
It took place in Uruguay from 13 to 30 July 1930, and was the only World Cup to be played in a single city, Montevideo, the country's capital. Most of the matches were held at the Estadio del Centenario, built specifically for the event.
The final, in front of a crowd of 93,000 spectators, was won by Uruguay, who beat Argentina 4-2, thus holding both the world and Olympic titles on that occasion.
The reverse of the medal features the words "Montevideo J. Coelho Neto Capitan Juillet 1930" surrounding a laurel wreath in bas-relief.
