The 1970 FIFA World Cup Victory Gold Medal, awarded to Baldocchi for being part of the Brazil national football team that won the 1970 World Cup.
The 1970 FIFA World Cup was the ninth FIFA World Cup and was held from 31 May to 21 June 1970 in Mexico.
The obverse of the medal features an engraving of a winged figure representing Nike, the ancient Greek goddess of victory, beneath the letters "F.I.F.A.", the acronym for "Fédération Internationale de Football Association" (International Federation of Association Football).
The reverse of the medal features the words "Campeonato Mundial De Futbol/ Copa Jules Rimet/ Mexico/ 1970" (Football World Championship/ Jules Rimet Cup/ Mexico/ 1970) surrounding a laurel wreath in bas-relief.
The medal comes from the private collection of Jose Guilherme Baldocchi, former Brazilian defender, world champion in the 1970 World Cup in Mexico.
To support the authenticity of the memorabilia, there is a letter signed by the former footballer that certifies the origin and authenticity of the same. In order to fully protect privacy and to prevent the document from being used with any memorabilia that does not refer to the same, it will be provided exclusively to the winner of the auction.
