Brazil match shirt worn by Zagallo in a match of the 1961/62 season.


Mário Jorge Lobo Zagallo was a Brazilian footballer and coach, who played as a midfielder or striker, and was a world champion with the Brazilian national team in 1958 and 1962 as a player and in 1970 as a coach.

In almost forty years as a coach he was five times CT of Brazil, one of the Olympic National Team of Brazil and twice technical director of Seleção, winning the Mexican World Cup of 1970 and the Copa América and the Confederations Cup of 1997. In his career Zagallo also boasts two second places in the Copa América, one in the World Cup (France 1998), a second and a third place in the Gold Cup and an Olympic bronze.

He only played for two teams, Flamengo and Botafogo.
