“Cantare amantis est” - Singing belongs to the one who loves.

As Saint Augustine observed, singing is a natural expression of love: a universal language that springs from the heart and reaches the soul.

A choir, as a metaphor for the common good, can help transcend cultural and religious differences through the universal language of music, even in a time marked by profound conflict.

It is in the spirit of this idea, one particularly dear to Maestro Riccardo Muti, that an extraordinary piece of musical history is being donated in support of Centro Benedetta D’Intino, on the occasion of his visit in November 2025.

For Maestro Muti, music is an act of love and care, a value that finds a natural expression in this gesture of profound solidarity.

Offered at auction is the original baton used by Maestro Riccardo Muti to conduct the extraordinary Vienna Philharmonic New Year’s Concert at the Musikverein in Vienna in January 2025.
