Description

Rare commemorative wristwatch in 18-carat gold, dedicated to Laurent Blanc and created to mark his farewell to the French National Football Team.

The timepiece was conceived as a personal gift for his teammates on the French National Team, commissioned on the occasion of Blanc’s final international appearance. I Gemelli di Milano were entrusted with the creation of this exclusive commemorative timepiece, specially conceived to mark Laurent Blanc’s farewell to the French National Team and intended for his teammates as a lasting memento of a significant moment in French football history.

The caseback directly reflects the commemorative nature of the watch, bearing the engraved initials “L.B.”, the date “2-9-2000”, and the individual number “11”. The date corresponds to Laurent Blanc’s final appearance for France, in the match against England played on 2 September 2000.

The dial features a classic and exceptionally elegant design, with a sunburst champagne finish, applied Arabic numerals, baton hour markers, and a date display at 3 o’clock. Prominently displayed on the dial is Laurent Blanc’s signature, a distinctive detail that gives the watch a strong personal identity and further emphasizes its commemorative character.

The 18-carat gold case is paired with a black leather strap, creating a refined and understated aesthetic. The Swiss Made quartz movement provides precision and simplicity, in keeping with the commemorative nature of the timepiece.

Rather than being part of a conventional commercial production, this example was therefore conceived as a commemorative object linked to a specific moment in the history of the French National Team, giving it particular appeal at the intersection of watch collecting and football memorabilia.
