In Serie A and Coppa Italia matches, the shirts used this season were without patches. However, in Champions League matches, the official competition patch was applied to the right sleeve.

This season was the last before Paolo Maldini wore the number 3.

During the season, Milan used this shirt in two variations: one with the Milan crests embedded in the fabric and one without, as on the shirt in question.

The shirt features an open, less snug collar, typical of short-sleeved jerseys, compared to the one used on the long-sleeved version.
