On this occasion, some Inter players (including Eto’o and Stanković) took the field wearing the short-sleeved store version of the shirt. The store shirt differs from the match-issued jerseys by the “NikeFIT” inscription stitched on the lower right front — rather than applied, as on the match shirts — and by the centenary commemorative label on the lower left side, which is not present on the match-worn versions.

Since Stanković always kept his shirt tucked into his shorts, it is not possible to determine with certainty whether he wore the match shirt or the store version. Eto’o, as visible in the gallery, wore a short-sleeved store shirt, and Stanković was also among the very few players who took the field with the short-sleeved version.

It should also be noted that the temperature in Milan that evening was extremely cold, dropping to -7°C, and almost all players opted for the long-sleeved match shirt. Only Eto’o and Stanković took the field wearing short-sleeved shirts, with a thermal undershirt underneath.
