Torino FC

Today's club, refounded in 2005, is the continuation of the historic partnership that arose in 1906 from the merger between the Torinese and the dissident members of the Juventus Foot-Ball Club.

Il Toro, as it is colloquially abbreviated, is among the most famous clubs in Italy. It boasts the conquest of 7 Italian championships including a streak of 5 consecutive titles at the time of Grande Torino, the latter being recognized as one of the strongest teams of the 1940s. In his national palmarès there are also 5 Italian Cups, while in the international arena we note the victory of the Mitropa Cup in 1991; the UEFA Cup final loss to Ajax in the 1991-92 edition is also the club's best result in a UEFA competition.
