Founded on October 17, 1907, Atalanta at national level has reached the final of the Italian Cup five times, triumphing in the 1962-1963 edition, while in the Serie A championship it obtained third place as the best result, reaching this placement three times in a row in the 2018-2019, 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 editions.

The club also participated in three editions of the UEFA Champions League, two of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and five of the UEFA Cup / Europa League.
