In Serie A detiene tre record; è il portiere con il maggior numero di rigori parati (26), il portiere con il maggior numero di rigori parati in una singola stagione (6) nel 2010/11, e il portiere con il maggior numero di presenze con la maglia dell'Inter, squadra con cui ha vinto lo Scudetto e la Supercoppa Italiana nella stagione 2020/2021.
È stato il portiere della Slovenia dal 2004 al 2016, anno in cui ha annunciato il suo ritiro dalla nazionale.
