Luigi Datome

Luigi Datome, but to everyone he is Gigi, born in Montebelluna on 27 November 1987. Historical point of reference in Italian basketball. He plays as a small forward for OlimpiaMilano and the Italian national basketball team. He was one of the first Italians to be chosen at the NBA Draft playing for the Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics. Gigi is the locker room man, of experience and reference for anyone, whether young or more experienced players. After his American experience, he moved to Fenerbahce where he took his greatest satisfaction, winning everything that could be won. In his private life he loves reading a lot, he even created his own social column #cosaleggegigione, and music. On the occasion of Patti Smith's concert in Milan on 1 August 2022, Gigi was invited on stage to play guitar with her.
