The Italian Rugby Federation, also known by its acronym FIR, is the governing body of 15-a-side and 7-a-side rugby in Italy.

Established on 28 September 1928, it was in 1934 one of the founding members of FIRA - Fédération Internationale de Rugby Amateur (now Rugby Europe). Affiliated with World Rugby since 1987, it is listed in Tier 1, the group of the world's top federations, along with the other five in the Six Nations and the four in the Rugby Championship.

Under FIR's jurisdiction fall the men's and women's senior national XV teams (the latter since 1991), the men's and women's VII teams, plus various subcategories of XV selections (National A, Under-20, military, etc.).
