Slums Dunk
Slums Dunk was born in 2011 from the desire of Bruno Cerella and Tommaso Marino to improve the living conditions of young people and children who live in the most socially and economically backward areas of the planet.
Through the creation of projects with the support of local realities, the association puts basketball at the center of the communities with the aim of developing the quality and lifestyle of young people.
In 2014 Slums Dunk built its first basketball court in the slum of Mathare, Nairobi (Kenya), managing to involve over 1,000 under 15 kids with its mini-basketball programs.
Today the Slums Dunk project has developed in different areas, in particular in Kenya, Zambia, Argentina and Italy where degraded and abandoned urban areas have been recovered.
Soon the association will also be present in Cambodia to make sport more and more accessible even to those people who do not have the possibilities; because sport is a common language, it is a tool that unites, that knows no limits.
