This is a 100 Lire "Minerva" banknote issued by the Italian Republic.


This banknote was issued in the post-war period, when Italy was trying to stabilize its economy after World War II. The State Ticket was used to facilitate daily exchanges and was used until the introduction of the new banknotes of the Bank of Italy.


The figure of Minerva reflects the cultural recovery and the Italian national identity after the war.
