"Journey Through The Secret Life of Plants" is the nineteenth studio album by Stevie Wonder, released in 1979 by Motown Records. It is a conceptual album, created as a soundtrack to the documentary "The Secret Life of Plants", based on the book of the same name by Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird.
The album represents one of the most experimental works of Stevie Wonder's career, combining elements of electronic music, jazz, soul and classical. In addition to traditional instruments, Wonder uses innovative technologies for the time, such as the Fairlight CMI, a revolutionary synthesizer.
Although it was an atypical album compared to his previous works, it had a significant impact and is now considered a cult album among fans of experimental music.
