The depths of our mind are found in the mirror, reflected, reproduced, multiplied in time and in the three dimensions of space, contained, at the same time, in a two-dimensional image but only physically.
Is this the destiny of an image?
Leading us into that space, letting what we thought was only ours become something else: an experience that lives for us and outside of us.
Bandiera's photographs are amphibious beings, they live outside and inside the water, certainly one of the distinctive signs of his work, a sort of guiding element that returns, in alternating phases, to play a dual role of presence and absence.
