De Marchi Foundation organizes “therapeutic holidays” every summer, assisted by medical and paramedical personnel: these holidays are intended for the young patients of the De Marchi Pediatric Clinic who are being treated for serious chronic diseases, in particular for thalassemic children.
Despite the great development of medical research, a major obstacle in the daily life of these patients is represented by the important psychological implications resulting from the chronicity of the disease.
