Barcelona match shirt worn by Cruijff in a Liga match, 1997/98 season.
This shirt comes from the private collection of Edvaldo Malizia, son of Vava' (Edvaldo Izidio Neto), Brazilian footballer and coach, World champion with the Brazilian national team in 1958 and 1962.
Johan Cruijff was a Dutch footballer, football coach and sports executive, who played either striker or midfielder.
Considered one of the best players in the history of football, he was the most emblematic interpreter of the total football with which Ajax and Netherlands revolutionized the history of football between the second half of the 60s and the first half of the 70s. Cruijff won nine Dutch championships, six Dutch Cups, one Spanish league, one Spanish Cup, three European Cup Winners, one UEFA Super Cup and one Intercontinental Cup. With the Dutch national team he was finalist in the 1974 World Championship and third in the 1976 European Championship. He scored 402 goals in 716 official games.
During his career he received various nicknames, including "Profeta del gol", which inspired the title of the documentary film about Cruijff’s sporting life directed by Sandro Ciotti; the journalist Gianni Brera renamed him the Pelé bianco.
